House of Tram
The kite house for riders of the Tramontane. Studios and apartments for kiters, 5 minutes from the La Palme lagoon and 20 minutes from the Lords of Tram spot.
The idea
Why “House of Tram”?
The Tramontane is no gentle, steady breeze. It is powerful, gusty and sometimes completely wild. It makes this the windiest corner of France and one of the windiest places in the world, and every year its gusts help riders break records, like Jamie Overbeek’s 42.3 m world record jump. For all that power, you can still find uncrowded flat water with the Tramontane blowing offshore. And if you are a beginner, don’t worry: the La Palme lagoon, 5 minutes away, is shallow and safe, with standing depth everywhere. It is the perfect place to learn.
I’m Jules. I spent years kiting around the world as a kite nomad, and I brought back ideas from the best spots and places I stayed to build House of Tram. Here, I found spots that are truly world class, and still somewhat undiscovered.
You have everything you need right here. A coworking space for digital nomads working between sessions, a gym for athletes, a place to rinse and store your gear, and shared spaces by the pool to meet the kite community. Next season, a bar and a game room with a pool table and table football will complete the picture.

And when the wind drops
There is plenty more to do around La Palme: Cathar castles, trails through the scrubland, oysters by the lagoon, Fitou wines from the growers next door. Here are our ideas for the days without wind.
